It would be great to use the Display Name of the Parts Database to filter when creating reports. Today, even if we customise the Display Name of a field, the system gives you only the ID to make the filter, making the customization useless. For example, the Display name of a field into my Parts Database is Class, but the system shows User45 when filtering to make the reports.
This is possible with a change in your Report Template. All OUS Report Templates use an SQL query to extract data from your databases. The Parts Database mapping, where you most likely added an alias (Display Name), controls the name displayed in the Parts Database Manager. When creating a Report Template, use "Customized By SQL Statement" option. This allows you to assign an alias for any columns in the report. However, you will need to first locate the original SQL query for the report before using this option.
If you are not familiar how to obtain the original report SQL, please submit a service case and a support engineer can assist you.
Example: Below Parts Database field user45 has alias named Class.
