Prior to opencoms, exported dgn/rdl could be opened by Bentley directly; outside the workflow manager (such as schematics or small files I would create for roughing out design boundaries/paths when sharing large projects). Now trying to open them throws a series of errors/warnings and then crashes.

The 'best' workaround I've found is to create a temp workspace, open that, attach the file as a reference, then copy it in & detach the reference file so I can make my edits, export it again to overwrite my previous version, then cancel/delete my workspace. But it feels silly and convoluted, why can't I just double click to open them like I used to? I'm just want to be able to deal with construction lines/shapes/text with standard bentley tools, not anything that is relating to databases/schemas/modules/etc.
